Ice Armor Wizard, Sorcerer, Warlock, Druid
Casting Time: 1 action
Components: S, V M (a bit of salt)
Duration: 1 Minute
Upon casting the spell the caster is surrounded by bit of ice. This ice armor absorbs damage providing 20 Temporary hit points. However, it also exposes the caster to extreme cold. At the end of each turn with the spell active, the caster takes 1 hit points cold damage from his actual hitpoints (not the temporary ones), unless the caster has some magical protection versus cold. This damage requires concentration checks.
If cast as a 2nd level spell it adds 10 more temporary hit points, and extends the duration by 1 minute. For every level higher than 2nd, add 10 more temporary hit points and extend the duration by 1 minute.
The caster can determine the exact form the ice armor takes, for example: it can appear like actual armor (though it doesn’t require proficiency), a cloak or robe, a floating shield or chunks of ice orbiting the caster .
